About Rien
A worldly Piscean who is independent, imaginative, instinctive, sensitive, and secretive individual.
A daydreamer but a rebel in disguise.
A romantic with time in her hands to scribble the comings and goings of life.
A globe trekker at heart, I am fascinated by the wonders of the ancient world. I feel that life is too short and there are too many beautiful places to visit, therefore, it would be a waste if we do not find time to explore the ancient cities and experience the culture and the tradition of its people.
The love of one’s country is a splendid thing. But why should love stop at the border?

Hi Red!
Greetings,
Just wanna ask you, are you a resident of Tripoli? I’m asking you this because i had been to Tripoli five years ago and studied there for five years, and it came to my mind that the name of the school i went into is CUSAM, now known as ISM right? Do you think it is built as anti-American school due to the name US Agression Martyrs? I hope to hear from you soon,
Thanks,
Anjofel
Anjofel,
Thanks for dropping by. I no longer reside in Tripoli but having lived there for 3 1/2 years and had my elementary education at O.C.S. — famously known as the Oil Companies School. O.C.S. is now known as ISM, formerly C.U.S.A.M. To answer your question, I would say no, it wasn’t built as an anti-American school. Expatriates working in oil companies such as Marathon, Occidental & Mobil used to send their children there, diplomats & other expatriates too send their children to O.C.S. rather than to the British school. The reason was this school could provide a better infrastructure & environment as well as could mold the students into a more worldly individual. That was then. I think they may have maintained the same objective today. I have nothing negative to say about the school. Although they can’t help it that they had to censor all information about Israel & anything related to it.
Anjofel,
I guess most of the teachers I knew have left Libya after the bombing or before the US & UN sanctions were lifted.
Hope to hear from you. Thanks once again for dropping by.
