What’s in a name? And its origin….

Shireen….some people say it’s an English name. But they’re wrong. It’s actually an Iranian name & borrowed by the English. The English would pronounce it as SHER-REEN…but Iranians pronounce it as SHE(girl)-REEN.(شیرین). Shireen means Sweet; pleasant, gentle; delicate; A character in Shahnameh (Khosrow Parviz’s wife); Main character in Nezami’s “Khosrow & Shirin”. If you think your name originates from Iran @ Persia… stop by this site : Iranian @ Persian Names in English and Farsi

Digital camera

I’m still waiting for that digital camera my aunt promised me. Well, I hope she’ll be sending them soon. It’s much cheaper in Japan than buying one in Malaysia. Guess I have to buy more In Style mags & vcds @ dvds for her. Maybe I’ll do the shopping next week. Maybe after work on Saturday. Sunday…have to buy new contacts. These coloured ones are real cool. Should have started wearing them from New Year but was too embarassed to do so. Gosh I have loads of stuffs I have to do for her…accounts, mags, vcds, credit card bills….oh I have to renew my passport. Can I change that ugly picture as well. It was taken right after my form 5. Why the hell did I use the same picture? I’ll ask. Then if I have enough money, I can go to Spain next year…back packing…. Yeah…I could ask my friends to join me….and maybe stop over in Tripoli for a week or so….that would be so cool & cold….(November thru December)

My 20 year Plan

Where do you see yourself in 20 years time? So here goes:

1) I’ll be awarded my Master’s degree in 3 years time. Insya allah.

2) Will then be applying for a different post at an institution of higher learning.

3) Will hopefully pursue my doctorate, hopefully this time from a foreign university.

4) At 45, I’d apply for a job as a lecturer in Spain. To be specific at the Islamic University of Cordoba, Cordoba, Spain. So, I’ll get my pension as well.

5) To own a casa for myself etc in Cordoba.

Why Spain you ask. Well…. It has always been a dream for me to visit & to live in the Southern Spain. I love the Islamic influence which was brought in during the Islamic invasion of Spain by the Caliphs. They have left the impressive architecture, history, culture and so much more. I love the Spanish language & the people.

‘Montoya sidelined for five weeks’

Tue 29 Mar, 2:53 PM

The McLaren driverslipped during the match, falling and hitting his shoulder. After undergoing tests it was discovered that he’d injured his scapula, which is vital for the movement of the shoulder.

The injury has a standard convalescence time of five weeks minimum and during the first three the arm is completely immobilized.

However, should the injury fail to heal properly, Montoya may have to undergo surgery, which would keep him sidelined for at least five months.

McLaren will announce on Thursday whether Montoya will be able to race in Bahrain, but according to the Spanish media, Montoya has returned to Miami, where his parents and wife Connie live, and will be replaced by McLaren test driver Pedro de la Rosa for the Bahrain GP.

The Spaniard has been given the seat ahead of fellow tester Alex Wurz as the Austrian is too tall to fit into the new MP4-20.

“I have not received any official confirmation,” de la Rosa said on Tuesday morning, adding that the team had only told him to “be prepared” to race in Bahrain.

However, whether de la Rosa will also replace Montoya in the San Marino and Spanish grands prix is uncertain as McLaren intend modifying the MP4-20’s cockpit to accommodate Wurz should de la Rosa fail to produce the goods.

This is not good news for West McLaren. I know they have not shown their true ability just yet but this is not a good time for things like this to happen. I’m not saying McLaren test @ 3rd drivers aren’t up to the standards of Kimi & Monty but McLaren need to improve and buckle up!

******* The Handwriting Analysis Starts Here *******

For a graphologist, the spacing on the page reflects the writer’s attitude toward their own world and relationship to things in his or her own space. If the inputted data was correct Shireen has left lots of white space on the right side of the paper. Shireen fills up the rest of the page in a normal fashion. If this is true, then Shireen has an unhealthy relationship to the past and has a fear of moving forward. The right side of the page represents the future and Shireen seems unwilling to face the fear of getting started living now and planning for the future. Shireen seems to be clinging to past events and spending lots of time thinking about what happened. It would be best to leave the past behind and move on. Stop crowding that left margin.

Shireen exaggerates about everything that has a physical nature. Although she may not intend to deceive or mislead, she blows things way out of proportion because that is the way she views them. She will be a good story teller. This exaggeration relates to all areas of her material world. Shireen allows many people into her life because she is accepting and trusting. She is sometimes called gullible by her friends. That only really means that she trusts too many people. Sharizad has a vivid imagination.

Shireen has a healthy imagination and displays a fair amount of trust. She lets new people into her circle of friends. She uses her imagination to understand new ideas, things, and people.

Shireen is constantly disappointed when trying to reach success. She works very hard, perhaps harder than most, then just before succeeding, something happens that keeps her from success. Often, Shireen changes to a second project just before the first one is finished, thus failing to complete the first project. Sometimes she changes because she feels she needs a different challenge. Shireen feels dejected. This feeling relates to her failures. This trait is very important in a working situation and in a relationship. She must be handled in a very special way to get the most work from her or to make a relationship last. Concerning this trait, personality modification is available to change her life.

Shireen is a practical person whose goals are planned, practical, and down to earth. This is typical of people with normal healthy self-esteem. She needs to visualize the end of a project before she starts. she finds joy in anticipation and planning. Notice that I said she plans everything she is going to do, that doesn’t necessarily mean things go as planned. Shireen basically feels good about herself. She has a positive self-esteem which contributes to her success. She feels she has the ability to achieve anything she sets her mind to. However, she sets her goals using practicality– not too “out of reach”. She has enough self-confidence to leave a bad situation, yet, she will not take great risks, as they relate to her goals. A good esteem is one key to a happy life. Although there is room for improvement in the confidence catagery, her self-perception is better than average.

In reference to Shireen’s mental abilities, she has a very investigating and creating mind. She investigates projects rapidly because she is curious about many things. She gets involved in many projects that seem good at the beginning, but she soon must slow down and look at all the angles. She probably gets too many things going at once. When Shireen slows down, then she becomes more creative than before. Since it takes time to be creative, she must slow down to do it. She then decides what projects she has time to finish. Thus she finishes at a slower pace than when she started the project. She has the best of two kinds of minds. One is the quick investigating mind. The other is the creative mind. Her mind thinks quick and rapidly in the investigative mode. She can learn quicker, investigate more, and think faster. Shireen can then switch into her low gear. When she is in the slower mode, she can be creative, remember longer and stack facts in a logical manner. She is more logical this way and can climb mental mountains with a much better grip.

Shireen is secretive. She has secrets which she does not wish to share with others. She intentionally conceals things about herself. She has a private side that she intends to keep that way, especially concerning certain events in her past.

Shireen is sensitive to criticism about her ideas and philosophies. She will sometimes worry what people will think if she tells them what she believes in. This doesn’t mean she won’t talk, or that she feels ashamed. It merely means she is sensitive to what others think, regarding her beliefs.

Shireen uses judgment to make decisions. She is ruled by her head, not her heart. She is a cool, collected person who is usually unexpressive emotionally. Some may see her as unemotional. She does have emotions but has no need to express them. She is withdrawn into herself and enjoys being alone. The circumstances when Shireen does express emotions include: extreme anger, extreme passion, and tremendous stress. If someone gets her mad enough to tell her off, she will not be sorry about it later. She puts a mark in her mind when someone angers her. She keeps track of these marks and when she hits that last mark she will let them know they have gone too far. She is ruled somewhat by self-interest. All her conclusions are made without outside emotional influence. She is very level-headed and will remain calm in an emergency situation. In a situation where other people might get hysterical, she has poise. Shireen will work more efficiently if given space and time to be alone. She would rather not be surrounded by people constantly. In a relationship, she will show her love by the things she does rather than by the things she says. Saying “I love you” is not a needed routine because she feels her mate should already know. The only exception to this is if she has logically concluded that it is best for her mate to hear her express her love verbally. Shireen is not subject to emotional appeals. If someone is selling a product to her, they will need to present only the facts. They should present them from a standpoint of her sound judgment. She will not be taken in by an emotional story about someone else. She will meet emergencies without getting hysterical and she will always ask “Is this best for me?”

People that write very large tend to be very social and friendly. It seems Shireen has this type of writing. This indicates a need for people and a particular natural ability to socialize and be the life of the party. Now, if Shireen also has specific fears (like fear of criticism or fear of trust) then she will deny she is the life of the party, because fear has overcome her natural inclination to be social. People with large handwriting tend to be effective at anything that requires interaction with lots of people. she is a people person.
